Developmental Edit
A developmental edit takes place at the beginning of the editing process and looks at the shape and structure of the story as a whole.
I will assess the opening, the development and pace of the plot, the character arcs, and how the various story elements (tone, dialogue, setting, etc.) weave together to culminate with the ending of your story. We'll talk about how to maximize your strengths and help you tell your best story. You'll receive a detailed and specific editorial assessment and guidance for your next steps.

Manuscript Assessment
A manuscript assessment is a review of your manuscript to determine what's working and what might need more attention.
After a careful reading, I will comment on important story elements such as organization, plot, character development, dialogue, tension, pacing, and description. Where applicable, I will also help identify any mechanical or style difficulties that arise in the text. You'll receive a written assessment with feedback and actionable tips.

Line and Copy Edit
This is a combined service in which I edit your manuscript at both the paragraph and sentence level. I will make suggestions to improve things like clarity, language, and flow, and I'll correct errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, usage, punctuation, consistency, and more.
